Sacha Schlegel

HefeWeizen Image for testing available

May 7th, 2007 |

Hi everyone

There is now a complete Debian GNU/Linux Etch (4.0 Stable Release) System including a configured HefeWeizen (State of April 2007) available for download. The system is a virtual system based on the QEMU software [1].

IMAGE

The huge image (~600MB) can be found here [2].

Download the image, and unpack it (it is bzip2 packaged), then use the QEMU program to boot the virtual system. Example on a GNU/Linux system:

qemu -hda path_to_my_hefeweizen_image/debian-etch-hefeweizen-desktop.img

QEMU also runs on Windows. There is even a QEMU Manager tool available at [3].

BONUS

There is a video (screencast without audio ) [4] that shows how to install the QEMU Manager tool on Windows, how to boot the HefeWeizen QEMU image, how to start HefeWeizen ebXML Messaging System runtime system, and how to run the HefeWeizen Command Center (User Interface).

Happy downloading.

Sacha
